Who is Dillon Danis?
Dillon’s claim to fame was joining Connor McGregor’s team of fighters. He has trained extensively with McGregor and has been coaching and assisting with training in grappling techniques. His record sits at 2-0, where both victories were achieved via submission.
McGregor has recently opened up about training Dillon leading up to the fight against Paul.
The Dynamic of the Match-Up
The match-up, at face value, appears to be incredibly random. However, after doing some digging, Danis was supposed to face-off against Logan’s younger brother – Jake Paul. Additionally, he was supposed to take on Logan’s rival and business partner, Olajide Olatunji (commonly known as KSI), with Dillon pulling out of both fights.
The dominant personality will always be attributed to one of the Paul brother’s, but Logan appears to be on the back foot in this fight. Danis has already targeted a weak-point before throwing a punch. This comes in the form of Paul’s fiancé: Nina Agdal.

Throughout his short-run in the UFC, Danis was always known for his big mouth and cocky attitude. Logan’s recent engagement to social media star and fashion model, Nina Agdal, was the advantage Danis needed. By firing tweet after tweet highlighting Agdal’s “extensive” dating reputation, Paul had no choice but to fire back.
Despite Logan’s valiant efforts, the more he fuelled Dillon’s trolling, the posts, and callouts became progressively more damaging. Danis went as far as spreading adult-rated content featuring the now engaged media personality, which has led to outcry and a very vengeful Paul-brother.
Paul and Agda Fight back
After taking Dillon’s barrage of progressively vile tweets and public callouts, Logan and his fiancé had one final pushback: bringing in the law.
Agda has filed for a temporary and permanent restraining order against Danis. On top of this, Dillon would be held liable for $300,000+ in reparations, including damages done by uploading an explicit video against her consent.
Since the debacle, Danis had his X account suspended, completely silencing the loud-mouthed grappler, while killing all major publicity for this fight until further notice.
Following the Lawsuit
Dillon and Logan’s official DAZN Face-offvideo throws any semblance of “we’re just playing around” straight out the window. Many boxing fans criticized this build-up for being staged, but as events started to spiral out of control, it’s clear that Paul was starting to lose his cool.
Danis has appeared on multiple podcasts since the falling out, alongside fellow contrarians such as Andrew Tate and Adin Ross, where Dillon shed some light on his controversies. Despite legalities, restraining orders, and a lot of money to be paid – he shows full confidence in his abilities to take on Paul.

Despite Dillon’s publicity stunt, and the full might of the law, he’s proven that when it comes to hyping up and selling a fight, you need to throw down the gloves. His ruthless approach to garnering public interest has netted him over 2 billion views on X in a single month, which is monumental in the sport of boxing.
He agreed to fight Logan on his terms, by relinquishing his grappler skill set, and still conquered Paul in the lead up to one of the most controversial fights in boxing history. The only thing left to see is if both gentlemen can touch gloves and settle this in six fast-paced rounds.
